Christmas Tree Garlic Rolls
Keeping up with the festive mood, presenting garlic rolls! My daughter and I had a lot of fun baking together and shaping the rolls as a Christmas tree! Hope you guys enjoy the recipe as much as we enjoyed creating it! 😊🎄🎉
Ingredients:
For Dough:
All Purpose Flour - 3 cups
Dry Yeast - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 2 tablespoon
Oil - 3 tablespoon
Warm Water - 1 cup or as needed
Dried oregano 2-3 teaspoon
Dried rosemary - 1 teaspoon
For Garlic Spread :
Unsalted Butter - 10 tablespoon
Garlic - 12 big cloves grated
Italian Seasoning - 2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves - 5 tablespoon finely chopped
Method:
1. Mix yeast and sugar with warm water and set this aside for 5 mins. Let it foam up.
2. Take flour, salt and oil in a bowl and mix well.
3. Pour yeast mix into the flour and mix well into a dough.
4. Cover it with plastic wrap or damp cloth and set this aside for 1 hour till it doubles in size.
5. Mix all the ingredients for garlic spread together till it form a smooth paste.
6. Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it for 5 min.
7. Roll the dough into a rough rectangle and spread the garlic spread over it.
8. Now roll this into a log and cut out the rolls.
9. Arrange these rolls in the shape of a Christmas tree (or whatever shape you like) on a generously-buttered baking pan leaving little spaces between each of them. Now cover this with a damp cloth and let it rise for 60 minutes.
10. In the last 10 mins of rising, preheat the oven to about 200℃.
11. We now place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes.
12. Once done, take out the garlic rolls from the oven and apply some butter on them to give them a nice glossy shine!
Serve hot and enjoy!!
