Mug Dhokla

Mug Dhokla

Ingredients:

1 cup Besan
1 cup yogurt
1 green chili
1 tsp grated ginger
Salt to taste
1 tbsp sugar
tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil
1 cup water
1.5 tsp Eno or fruit salt

For tempering:

2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 green chilli, chopped
Curry leaves
1 tsp sugar
A little water

Method:

1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dhokla except Eno.

2. Add eno salt in the last when you have got a lump free smooth batter

3. Pour in a thick microwave safe greased cup so that the dhokla batter fills up almost of the cup.

4. Microwave on high for 2.5 to 3 minutes (first do for 2.5 minutes as mine was done).

5. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. After they crackle, add slit chilli, curry leaves, sugar and water.

6. Pour this tempering over the dhokla and enjoy hot!
