Chicken Frankie

Chicken Frankie or chicken kathi roll is one of the most famous and widely available street food in India. These spicy and tangy rolls are really easy to make and are loved by everyone!
You can make a vegetarian version of it too by replacing the chicken with paneer!


Time Taken:
Marination - 2 hours
Cooking time - 20 minutes

Ingredients:

* 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
* 1 Onion cut in slices
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* Salt 1 to taste.
* Boneless chicken cubes 200 grams.
* Hung curd 2 tablespoons.
* 1 tomato cubed
* kastori methi powder 1/4 tea spoon.
* Tandoori masala 1 1/2 tsp
* 1 bell pepper
* chili powder 1/2 tea spoon.
* ketchup & mayonnaise for wrap
* mustard Oil 1 tea spoon.

Method:

1. Cut chicken into small cubes, wash nicely.

2. Then apply marination prepared with lemon juice, salt, and spices (chili powder, cardamom powder, kasuri methi, tandoori masala, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste), hung curd and mix well.

3. Next add the chicken pieces into it and mix. Marinade this for about 2 hours in the refrigerator.

4. Put the chicken and other vegetables coated in marination (onion, tomato, bell pepper) onto skewers and cook in the oven or moderately hot tandoor for about 10 to 15 minutes, keep basting the chicken pieces with oil and cook until slightly colored and cooked.

5. Remove the chicken & vegetable pieces when done.

6. Make a flat roti with the dough and half cook it.

7. Before preparing the wrap, heat a non stick pan or tawa. Place the flatbread, apply little butter, spread some mayonaise or any salad dressing of your choice on it.

8. Now, put some salad like purple cabbage, sliced onions, carrot julliens, salad leaves.

9. Place the cooked chicken cubes, bell pepper n tomato cubes on it.

10. Pour some ketchup and wrap it tightly and roll in a foil or butter paper.

Enjoy with juice or just by itself to make a complete breakfast meal or for iftaar!
