Rose Buns with Stuffing
Rose shaped buns with stuffing of your choice is a great idea for a fancy meal or parties. The recipe is as follows..
Ingredients:
🌹2 cups maida
🌹1/2 tsp salt
🌹3 tbsp olive oil
🌹1/2 tsp dry Insṭanṭ yeast
🌹 250 ml water
🌹250 ml warm milk
🌹 3 tbsp milk powder
🌹2boiled potatoes
🌹spring onions chopped
🌹salt & red chili powder as per taste
🌹1/2 tsp coriander powder
🌹1/2 turmeric powder
🌹1/4 tsp mustard seeds
🌹Salad for garnish
Method:
🌹Take 2spns warm water in a bowl add yeast and sugar to it
🌹 Mix well and let it sit till yeast rises
🌹Then in a big bowl take flour,milk powder , oil (v little) and add salt
🌹Make like a well and add yeast mixture in that
🌹Knead the dough
🌹When the dough has come together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
🌹Keep the dough covered in a warm place till it doubles
🌹Let the dough rise for 60 minutes or more
🌹When the dough doubles take little dough and roll in a log. Now divide it into equal parts and shape as a ball.
🌹Roll out each like a small chapati
🌹Now place the filling in the middle if the rolled ball. Don’t overfill
🌹Mark four cuts in four directions. Like at 3 o’clock 6,9 & 12 o’clock (see pic)
🌹 Now fold one side and then the opposite side (see pic). Same way fold all the four sides giving the rose flower shape.
🌹Now brush it with mixture if milk and butter and sprinkle little White sesame seeds.
🌹Place roses on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (you can preheat the oven for ten minutes but again it depends upon each oven to take its own time )
🌹Bake till done.
Enjoy hot stuffed rose buns with red or green tomato chutney and soup!
