Marble Bundt Cake
Baked this chocolate bundt cake for my lifeline, my daughter's birthday and she loved it!
Ingredients:
1. One cup A.P.F (all purpose flour/maida)
2. Milk powder 25gm
3. A pinch of salt
4. half tspn baking powder
5. half tspn baking soda
6. half cup vegetable oil
7. half cup powdered sugar
8. half tspn vanilla essence
9. milk for consistency (one cup)
10. half tspn butter
11. cocoa powder 2tbspn
12. Nuts, choco chips, tuti fruiti (optional)
Method:
1. Take the first five dry ingredients and sieve well.
2. In a separate bowl whisk together the sugar and oil really well, but do not overmix.
3. Add in the vanilla essence.
4. Slowly mix the oil and sugar mix with the dry ingredients.
5. Adding milk very gradually.
6. Use a balloon whisk for ease.
7. Once you get the right consistency.
8. Divide the batter into two and add cocoa powder to one part.
9. Now grease the baking mold with butter and dust some flour over it.
10. Take 2 spoons and use them to dollop the chocolate and vanilla cake mixes into the tin alternately.
11. Tap the bottom on your work surface to ensure that there aren’t any air bubbles.
12. Take a skewer and swirl it around the mixture in the tin a few times to create a marbled effect.
13. Bake the cake for 45-55 mins until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Turn out onto a cooling rack and leave to cool.
Have kept some dried berries in the center and some chocolate shavings on the top 😊
